Each February, Memphis in May holds an annual International Teachers'
Conference, an opportunity for area teachers and educators to obtain
valuable resources and the knowledge necessary to incorporate
international culture into their classrooms. Everyone in attendance obtains professional development credits for their attendance. The conference is offered free of charge each year to Memphis-area teachers and educators.
Every year, the conference honors a new country and teaches educators
about the country's history, geography, art, culture, and science,
distributing activities and lesson plans for their curriculum.
