For three decades, Widespread Panic has thrilled fans with its Georgia-born blues/roots rock that propelled it to its status as a hugely popular jam band. Formed by original members vocalist/guitarist John "JB" Bell, bassist Dave Schools and late guitarist Michael Houser, they were later joined by drummer Todd Nance. Percussionist Domingo "Sunny" Ortiz, keyboard player John "JoJo" Hermann and drummer Duane Trucks came along later to fill out the band. Panic’s debut LP, Space Wrangler, came out in 1988 and was followed by its eponymous sophomore album in 1991. The band has released 12 studio albums (including 2015’s Street Dogs) and 43 live albums, selling more than 3 million copies as one of the most successful touring acts in the world. Widespread Panic is no stranger to the Beale Street Music Festival, having wowed crowds in 2010, 2000, 1998, 1993 and 1992.
