Memphis in May Announces New Vice President of Marketing
Memphis in May International Festival today announced the promotion of Robert Griffin to Vice President of Marketing, where he will direct all marketing strategy, branding, public relations, advertising and media for all the month-long festival’s events.
Having begun his career as the promotion manager for local radio station WMC-FM100, Griffin previously worked for local advertising agencies TMB Marketing Group and archer>malmo on brands such as Blockbuster, Palm Beach Tan, and Southland Park among others. Griffin joined Memphis in May International Festival in 2017, bringing nearly 20 years’ experience in marketing, advertising and media.
“Robert is a lifelong Memphian with extensive marketing experience and local media and public relations connections, who joined our organization in March 2017 as Director of Marketing,” said James L. Holt, the Festival’s President and CEO. “In his last two years in that role, we have seen an expansion in our media coverage, advertising reach, and audience growth. Robert has contributed significantly to two consecutive record-setting years for Memphis in May, and we are proud to have him on our team and pleased to announce his promotion to Vice President of Marketing as he joins our management staff.”
An alumnus of Pensacola Christian College, Griffin and his wife Heather live in Bartlett, TN.
