Memphis in May Wins 10 Pinnacle Awards From International Festival & Events Association


Memphis in May International Festival collected ten more Pinnacle Awards at the International Festival & Events Association’s 63rd Annual Convention & Expo in San Diego, California earlier this month. This brings the total number of Pinnacle Awards received by Memphis in May to 216.

The world’s leading festivals and events submit entries in 71 award categories.  This year, Memphis in May was recognized with Pinnacle Awards for the Best Education Program, Best Volunteer Program, and Best Emergency Preparedness & Risk Management Program, along with multiple awards for its signature design in marketing (Best Website, Best Social Media Site, Best App), and collateral (Best Commemorative Posters, Best Event Invitations, and Best T-shirt Design). 

Other notable 2018 Pinnacle Award winners were Australia’s Vivid Sydney, South Korea’s Gimje Horizon Festival, the Kentucky Derby Festival, the Fiesta Bowl, Pasadena Tournament of Roses, Indy 500 Festival, National Cherry Blossom Festival, and the Netherlands’ Art Rotterdam Festival.

Holt.  “These awards represent the hard work of our staff and volunteers in producing another record-setting year for Memphis in May with an economic impact on the City of Memphis of more than $137 million.”
