Finances devastated after historic cancellation due to COVID
Due to the continuing threat of COVID 19, in the interest of public safety and under advice from local health authorities, all 2020 Memphis in May events are canceled.
The health and safety of our fans, performers, volunteers, teams, judges, runners, staff, and the general public is our top priority. The difficult decision was based on information in consultation with local health officials and we have been advised that it would not be reasonable to host festival events as planned in 2020.
We’re disappointed. We’re going to miss you, all 200,000 + of you. We hoped we would be able to reset for the fall, but unfortunately, Memphis in May now joins the growing list of outdoor and large events that have been forced to cancel. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate through this unprecedented circumstance.
Registrants will be offered a full refund or can choose to use their tickets and registration for 2021. Click here to begin the refund process.
We’re pressing pause this year, but we’ll be back next May stronger than ever! So mark your calendars now for the 45th anniversary of Memphis in May.
